Nestled amongst the industrial hinterlands of Manor House, in a creative zone yet to be hit by the surge of development and gentrification sweeping across the metropolis, you can find a free entry, wild and untamed festival of art in all its various guises. Random Artists have a history of staging such events since 2001 and for their main show this year they are exploring the subjective notion of home in a diverse and immersive show – featuring fine art, installations, performance, film, music and workshops. Random Artists traditionally operate an organic and independent event called Temporary Autonomous Art, which uses the tactics of DIY culture to create artist-led free spaces that are open for anyone to exhibit and perform within. Taking a step towards the curated and planned Home event will not depart from the same free spirit, and artist involvement will be employed to make a unique and thought provoking environment for all those who enter.
